A Season of Blessings!
As Fall 2026 quickly approaches, I want to share project updates and gratitude for blessings from the Gifts From The Ancestors ™ Foodways Project.
First, the blessings:
Gifts From The Ancestors and Cast Iron Skillet Culinaire had a feature recipe in the summer edition of the Kreol International Magazine. I had the opportunity to attend the official presetnation of the issue to Stella Chase Reese on August 2o, 2026 at Dooky Chase Restaurant in New Orleans, hosted by Georgiana Dhilon, editor of Kreol International Magazine. The honoree, her family, and guests had a wonderful eventing.

Another blessing was the oportunity of my family to visit the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago! It was the pièce de résistance! Everything was curated with excellence, and the food at Tafari's Kitchen was très bien!
