The goal of the Gifts from the Ancestors project is to cultivate a response that embraces tradition and sustains life. It is our desire to provide culinary enrichment by connecting people with the past in the present time.

To explore West African food cultures, cooking techniques, and cuisines that shaped the Southern foodways of African Americans.
