The Lawrence J. and Viola M. Hospitality Scholarship is designed to support women pursuing undergraduate degrees in hospitality-related fields, such as culinary arts, hospitality management, tourism, and leadership at Northwestern State University. During my experience working with Hospitality and Management Technology (HMT) students at NSULA last year, we confirmed the importance of providing support for women in the hospitality industry.
In the coming year, the Gifts From The Ancestors Foodways Project team will launch an exciting contribution campaign titled "Sixty-Six in 2026." Our goal is to secure 2026 donors who will generously contribute $66.00 to help endow this scholarship by the end of the year.
Your investment will:
Remove financial barriers to higher education
Support future leaders in hospitality and tourism
Preserve cultural foodways through formal training
The goal of the campaign is to endow the scholarship by raising a total $20,000.
