Creole family traditions and recipes are passed down from generation to generation. Over time some of the art of cooking has been lost. My passion for food, family, faith, and friends has motivated me to establish the Gifts From The Ancestors Foodways Project. This project's mission is to uplift, enrich and educate the food community thereby preserving Creole cuisine and culture for the future generation.
I am pleased to announce Volume 2, Creole Celebrations. This cookbook was created in collaboration with family, old friends, and some new ones. Special thanks to Michael Williams of the GO3 Vodka Company who curated four of the cocktails. The GFTA Krewe - Jeremy Goodie, Jeremy the Creative, Candance Denton, Editor, Michael Stone, Experience Photography, Reena Harris, Photography, Christoper Leach, Contributor, Chef Natasha Jarmon, The Heir's Table, Contributor, and Amiah Yearby, Sweet Arrow, Food Styling.
